PHOTOGRAPHS: SunPrints/Cyanotypes

SunPrints are direct positive photographic prints on paper or cloth (Cyanotypes) They are one-of-a-kind originals. Also known as ‘Photograms”, these SunPrints reinvent the earliest form of photography using sensitized paper upon which objects are placed to create a direct-positive impression. Sir John Herschel invented the cyanotype process in 1842, rather early in the entire history of photography.
