Indigenous Peoples

I engaged with watercolor because of its impermanence . My series of watercolor portraits: Saints and Sinners, Indigenous Peoples, Ancient Warrior Queens, are all unfinished. I return to each when inspired, to add color, add elements, or enhance textures. They remain as works in transition. I like the transient nature of pigments and their reaction to white. These new mixes result in mutations of substance and form.
